Helpful informative staff that greeted us at the door. They have literally any game you can think of. Great puzzles, cards, dice, everything. They have a room where people play certain games. There are games everywhere here I want to try them all.
I like having a board game shop nearby. This spot has a lot to offer other than just board games. They also have a great puzzle selection and some collectables too. The service was great, they even offered to special order a specific game for me.
I cannot stress enough how helpful and kind the staff and owners are. I walked in today looking for a game that wasn’t shelved yet and they were kind enough to inventory and sell it to me on the spot. I live almost an hour away, but nowadays want to go to Recess exclusively.

I've been to a lot of game stores and this one is far and beyond my favorite. The selection is always great and their play space is excellent. They've got lots of recurring events and get-togethers on their schedule that have high turnout. And their rewards program? Actually worth it.

Great selection of board games. The staff was super helpful, especially Maria, who was a joy to speak to and very knowledgeable about lots of different games and was able to give personalized suggestions based on what other games we’ve liked/already own. The rewards program is also very good and provides a decent discount if you are working on a board game collection. We will definitely be back!
I don't live in the area, but I would probably shop here more if I did. Stopped by on a Monday afternoon. Staff was friendly and asked if I had any questions or was looking for anything and then left me alone to shop. The shop is spacious and well laid out. Lots of board games and miniature games to browse. I'm not a CCG player, so I'm not sure how their selection ranks vs other stores. Will stop again next time I'm in town.
Wow. They didn't have every single game I've ever heard of, but they have a massive selection of board games, RPGs, and war games all together in a clean and well lit store with friendly staff and a nice area for events and trying out a good array of games. A little far to travel from the east side, but worth it once in a while.
Recess Games has a great game selection, but there are a couple of things that bug me. Their promotional offers are way too short, and some items are pricier compared to other stores.
Also, I've noticed a shift in the staff's friendliness. The old team was super welcoming, but some newer staff members don't have the same vibe. Still, it's a solid place for games!
